A Whole Lot of Blogs!

I have put on a ton of posts. So make sure you go all the way down to see all the new ones. Once you see all the new things I put on you will understand why I am the way I am and why it has taken me so long to get caught up. I am glad everyone keeps their blogs updated so we can keep in touch and see what everyone is doing. I will try harder to keep up.

Grandma Margie's Birthday

On Sunday it was Grandma Margie's birthday and most of us were there. I took a few pictures, but they didn't turn out. Here is one of the grandkids that were there. A few kids were missing, but she now has 12 granddaughters and 3 grandsons. Happy Birthday Grandma! We love you!

Cheer competition

Alyssa is doing cheer and they go to competitions. This one was in Parowan on Saturday April 25, 2009. The pictures didn't turn out to good, the best one is when she had her head down. She did a good job and had a lot of fun. She will be going to another competition in Cedar and then she will have a final recital.

Karate promotion

Drew was a green belt and on April 22, 2009 he was promoted to a brown belt. It is quite a process. First they do some things as a group.

Then each student has to do an individual routine in front of everyone. While they do it, they all cheer for each other.
Then they go back into a group again and he calls each one up and places their belt on their neck, or a tip (piece of black tape on the end of their belt, 3 tips let you try for a new belt).
Then they replace the old belt with the new belt.

Picnic

So on Saturday the 18th of April I didn't want to stay in my dirty house and clean it. I suggested we go up in the hills for a picnic. It was cold, but fun. Thanks grandma and grandpa for the use of your 4-wheelers and marshmallow roaster sticks. And thank you grandma and grandpa for buying Katie's 4-wheeler so we could have an extra one. Ha, ha!

Volleyball

Here is Panguitch at the Elementary school they have a volleyball program. The 3rd through the 6th grade boys and girls are involved. I coached a 5th and 6th grade team (which Drew was on). Then Alyssa was on a 3rd and 4th grade team. It is a lot of fun for the kids. The younger kids use bigger softer balls and we lower the nets also. I only got video of Drew not a picture, sorry. But here is a picture of Alyssa (white shirt and black shorts).
